Micki Hoesly entered the financial services industry in 1977. Along with her BS in Business Management, she has earned degrees as Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and a Masters of Science in Financial Services with the American College. Micki earned her Master of Urban Studies degree in 1999 and was a PhD candidate at Old Dominion University.
In 1983, Micki began Capital Resources as sole proprietor, specializing in pensions. She received her designation of CPC and QPA through the American Society of Pension Actuaries. She is owner and principal of Resource 1, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisory firm offering dynamic asset allocation strategies. Her dedication and continuing goal is to provide superior service and appropriate solutions for high net worth individuals, their families and select business entities.
Continuously active in industry associations, she has been a 28 year member of the Million Dollar Round Table and plays an active leadership role with Top of the Table, an independent organization of 1,000 leading financial services and insurance professionals worldwide.
Micki has been quoted on financial issues by such major publications as the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and Kiplingers. She is a respected speaker both nationally and internationally; at a recent forum she shared the platform with Alan Greenspan.
In 1985 she helped organize Make A Wish Foundation of Virginia and served as president of the founding board. She received a Sertoma District Award for Outstanding Service to Mankind in the early 1990s.
Micki and her husband, Michael, an Associate Vice President at another financial services company, live in Virginia Beach in a home she helped to redesign and remodel.
